It's be a while....(I hate that stupid group Stained)
: 2002-08-30
Yeah yeah, it's been a while. I apologize to the few readers I have. But I've been kinda on-my-back lately. And no, not in a "counting ceiling tile" kinda way. It seems that in my old age (30) I've hurt my back. How? I don't know. And NO I didn't slip and fall in the bath tub and break a hip. I guess I must have slept on it wrong and due to general musclar atrophy stemmed from lack of outdoorsy activies, I've developed a pinched nerve. Oy. Ok, now that we've gotten that old man bit out of the way, let's get down to business. So when you get married, apparently there's a line in there somewhere about "in sickness and in health..." well, I gotta tell ya - that's a VERY important line. My lovely heterosexual lifemate has been the most wonderful human being alive these past couple of weeks (not that she isn't always amazing...) She's pretty much strapped this little family (me = useless/dog1 = pees in stealth/dog2 = pees in front of you) on her back and carried us. Cleaning apt, feeding invalid, walking puppies...just everything possible. She's been taking care of us "in sickness" these days and she hasnt' even taking that oath!! (yes, guilt guilt - WAY past time to pop the question) So ladies and gents. Keep that in mind when you're with someone - if on day 2 of a cold she tells you to "get it your damn self," she might not, nay, she IS not the person for you. Now, on to other things. I'm still trying to get a picture of my dad to start this THANK YOU COOPERATE clothing line. Initial consultation with El Padre Grande has been positive. He's down with the idea. Although he reminded me pnce again to not waste time at work or else I'll be fired. Oh and that if we sell any of these t-shirts he'll want some cash back. Thanks, dad. It's the last weekend of summer. After this weekend most pools will be closed and people will start thinking about Halloween. I'm thinking about throwing a Halloween party - so I'll keep everyone posted if they're going to be anywhere near my neck of the universe to pop by. Oh - and for some of you who for some bizarre/unknown reason is reading this and have no idea what atomictonic.com is, you really need to check it out... Um - wait. On second thought, don't bother - as I remember another axiom from pop, "you spread it around too much, it gets thin." (and he's talking about knowing too many people...) Try to forget about the ground beef recalls all over the country this weekend during your Labor Day cook outs. |
