Someone give me a flak jacket : 2002-10-23
Yeah. I haven't updated in 7 days.

That's because for the past 7 days I've been laid up in bed, sick as a dog, and hopped up on goofballs. Yeah.

I'm much better now. Thank you.

Many things have not happened since the last time I've updated.

-I have NOT quit my job,

-My AP have NOT (and will not) get her raise,

-The beltway sniper have NOT been caught,

-and the sniper have NOT shot my boss.

Which brings up today's point:

"If the sniper will cooperate and not get caught til later..."

Guess who just said that in the middle of a meeting.

Um Yeah. I'm not making this shit up.

See, "sniper watch" keep people in front of the television. So if the sniper is still "on the loose" during november, then it'll help big boss man's sweeps ratings.

Nevermind the fact that my parent's are in danger.

This is the guy who askes if there are children on board when he hears about a school bus accident.

Yes yes. I know I know. I'm working on a way out...I don't wanna say anything to jinx myself yet, but I'll keep you posted.

Wish me luck.

Alright. So this past weekend (depsite being on crutches) Bizbe and I went to see Punch Drunk Love and Bowling for Columbine. Both winners in my book. However, BFC really made me think about my job...(more reasons to quit, of course)

It seems like local television news are (at least partly) responsible for our violent culture. Since everything we put on air (see http://mfoxm.diaryland.com/sweeps.html )is meant to scare the public - and that fear feeds the violence.

It's hard to explain so you should just go see the movie and check back with me with your input.
