Buckwheats!! : 2002-09-03
It's Autumn.

Remember when you were a kid, summer seems like a really long time until labor day weekend? Life can be like that sometimes.

I must confess, I ripped that off from a very bad movie, Things To Do in Denver When You're Dead. It was one of the tolerable lines in the film. (other than "buckwheats.") And if you never saw the movie then I'm sorry to have wasted 2 seconds of your day.

The lovely Bizbe and I are going on the Atkins diet today, officially. We'd like to look really skinny for our (hopefully) New Years in Mexico bonaza. Yeah - don't tell me it's not good for me in the long run...becuase I don't really play on living that long. But here's a little interesting tidbit for you - 2 of my ex-girlfriends went on nutrisystem after they started dating me.

Wait.

I feel the need to explain that.

Ok. Here's my problem - I love going out and I love eating after drinking half the bar. And these two girls were in excellent shape when they first met me...however, after living my bacchanalian lifestyle for 3-4 months, they eventually put on a few pounds. So they go on a diet, lose weight, refuse to live like that anymore, and we break up.

Nowadays I try to not live like a Falstaffian wannabe and thus I've managed to keep the lovely Bizbe around for a few years. But I've merely tranposed my gluttonous ways. Inspired by the tv show Iron Chef, I've taken up cooking - japanese/french cooking. And that just means the same amount of drinking and eating - just now we do it at home and we're eating a lot better. Thus - the lovely Bizbe made the choice of going on a diet and even though I think she looks great the way she is, I fully support her. In fact, I support her so much I'm going on this diet adventure with her. Of course, it's probably about time for me to go on this diet since (see above, and) I haven't looked skinny since my nyc-alcohol-drugs-sushi diet. (and I tell ya, that's one hullva diet.)

So. Wish us luck.

Oh - and for those of you who didn't get the hint when I moved my guestbook thingy up top, please sign the damn thing. Good comments, bad comments, no comment, sumthin'!

One last thing - I'm making the purchse of the domain name this week - hopefully papa wu's pix will arrive this week too. So some of you marketing gurus, t-shirt designers, and political consultants start brainstorming on how we can start our Thank You Cooperate empire!
